As a kid that grew up on the internet, I'm fascinated by the role digital technology plays in our everyday lives.
And I believe thoughtfully designed experiences make the impact of technology much more meaningful for business and the people around them.
Over the last 5 years I've worked hard with amazing teams to contribute towards this better world I see. Together we've streamlined processes, shipped some really amazing products and recorded real-life impact across media, education, power, and Fintech industries.
Currently I work at Canonical, helping to design the open-source tools powering many important technologies in the world today.
Amongst many things, my super-power is blending strategy and visual design together to solve big, complex problems in a human-centred way.
Over time I have been able to recognise and distill the mindset I approach every project with into 3 main philosophies. These statements act as guiding principles for every work I put out.

You can’t solve a problem you don’t understand
Starting every project by diving into research helps me make informed decisions and build enthusiasm for creating the best possible experience.
Design for scale, and handoff
with heart
Understanding the business's long term goals, I'm constantly hacking at my work and style to ensure I handoff artefacts that are thoughtful, simple, and scalable.
Remember the developer, remember the user
I invite engineers into the UX process early, and collaborate with them every step of the way to design practical solutions that assist users, not overwhelm them.
